The Folk Culture Centre is a national organization under the Ministry of Culture. Our MISSION is to support the survival and evolution of Estonian folk culture and to participate in the process of developing and carrying out the cultural policy. The main responsibilities of the Folk Culture Centre are: 1. Participation in the process of development and operation of the cultural policy on regional, national and international level; 2. Contribution to the survival and evolution of the folk culture; 3. Appreciation of intangible heritage; 4. Carrying out professional training courses for adults in the area of folk culture. At the core of the Folk Culture Centre are its personnel, split into the following divisions: Development and Education department , Intangible Heritage department , Folk Culture Department and Administration.
